Hey… a few weeks ago we observed Easter ushering in the second quarter of 2026.

I want to encourage you, especially if you’ve felt a little off lately, that you’re not alone.

Sometimes we don’t fall. We just… drift. We drift quietly from our systems, our goals and our convictions. It can come in the form of a few rushed days here. A few “I will do it later” decisions. A few corners cut. Then we wake up and realise: I’m not where I want to be.

Today isn’t about guilt. It’s about coming back.

Just do one small return. One moment to honestly reflect. One prayer. One deep breath. One clean decision.

Love yourself by doing what you said you would do.

Lovingly correct yourself and love yourself for doing it.

One. Perfect. Love.

Come Back to Yourself

You may remember that we dedicated February to love on this platform, exploring Philia, Eros, Storge, Pragma, Philautia, and Agape. And one thing became clearer to me: the same love can take on very different forms depending on what governs it.

For the past two years, I’ve been working on something that has everything to do with that. Or perhaps more truthfully, I thought I was working on it, but in hindsight, I now know that it was doing a great deal of work on me.

That work has become a book:

Postures of Agape - From Transactional Affection to Transformational Love

It is a book about love as posture - the deeper governing alignment that determines how love flows through us in any given situation.

The book is with the printers as I write this, and I’m deeply grateful to finally share it with you.

Fasting is the reminder that I am not the source - and my appetites are not the boss.

The reminder is for realignment: putting myself in right standing with God; recognising He is on the throne where He rightfully belongs, and everything else back in its place.

Realignment is for proper kingdom governance: so mood doesn’t rule, pressure doesn’t rule, people don’t rule.

Kingdom governance is for spiritual freedom: not freedom to drift, but freedom to be obedient, to revere, to surrender and to worship without fear.

Freedom is for Kingdom fruit: the kind of fruit that brings peace that holds, discipline that lasts, love that doesn’t perform, and reverence that is genuine.

Kingdom fruit is for stewardship: faithful and excellent handling of what’s entrusted to you by God - your time, body, money, words, influence.

Stewardship is godliness: God’s way showing up in ordinary life.

Godliness is to honour God: not with slogans, but with alignment.

To honour God is to seek His righteousness - and let everything else take its proper place under the right authority and in the right order.

So even if you don’t fast from food today, fast from what’s been governing you: anxiety, panic, money, noise, approval, fear, envy, scrolling, unforgiveness, lust, deception, sloth, control.

Fridays are for fasting - because fasting is seeking first the Kingdom.

Fridays are for fasting

Let me say this gently but clearly: if these posts ever feel “unrealistic,” it may be because we’ve started hearing stewardship as a mood… instead of a government.

Stewardship is not soft optimism.

It’s not “survive the week.”

It’s not pretending the knock at the door isn’t real.

Stewardship is living with the settled conviction that I am entrusted — and that the One who entrusts is not anxious, not surprised, and not short on future.

A steward moves under a higher authority, with a longer horizon.

Yes, the world’s demands knock. Bills knock. Pressure knocks. Fatigue knocks.

But the steward doesn’t become ruled by the knock.

The steward answers life from the inside out because they are focused on what is permanent, not merely what is urgent.

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” ~ Colossians 3:2

That doesn’t mean ignore earth. It means don’t let earth become your god.

So today: handle what must be handled but do it as someone trusted with purpose.

Move like you’re part of a larger plan.

Build like heaven is watching.

Obey like alignment is the real win.

Over and out. 🫡

Stewardship is not soft optimism.

I missed the moment to post this yesterday, but maybe that’s perfect because Monday doesn’t end when the day changes. Sometimes the “blue” spills into Tuesday if we don’t notice what’s governing us.

We talk about Blue Monday like it’s a given... like Mondays are meant to feel heavy.
But let me ask...can you remember when you started thinking of Monday as “blue”… when you made it your own?

And if you accepted that as normal, what else have you accepted without noticing?

Did you know that Monday doesn’t even mean the same thing everywhere:

  • in English it’s Moon-day (rhythms/cycles)
  • in Portuguese it’s segunda-feira (order/structure)
  • in Arabic it’s al-ithnayn (“the second”).
    Same day. Different meaning.

So maybe Monday isn’t the problem. Maybe it’s what we allow to shape our days.

Stewardship is noticing what we’re giving power to: mood, money, approval, control, productivity, comfort - even “staying informed.” Whatever you focus on ends up guiding you.

So even on a Tuesday ("Choose Day") and every other day: feel it, name it… but don’t let it lead.
Choose alignment before mood.
Choose your ruler before your day.

One. Perfect. Love.

Please allow me to write as if I am having a conversation with you.

Lately, I have been sitting with a difficult thought: that our hearts can be in the right place, and yet things and people can still be quietly suffering because of us.

I think that is one of the more sobering parts of becoming more honest with oneself. To realise that good intention, by itself, is not always enough. That sincerity is precious, yes, but sincerity and alignment are not the same thing. And sometimes what we mean to protect, love, serve, or build is the very thing that begins to feel the strain of our disorder.

That is the main thing I have been reflecting on in this article: https://www.omosa.co.za/when-good-intentions-are-not-enough/

I would like to hear your thoughts.

When Good Intentions Are Not Enough

“Ooohh, the last born…”
You know the tone people say it with. It's soft, playful and almost like your whole life is already explained.

And for a long time, I accepted that. But because I was home this Easter weekend, I’ve been thinking…

Being the last of five didn’t just mean I was loved differently. It meant I was formed differently.

Formed in a world where: help was near, guidance was available, and someone was always there - not just with me, but for me. And that shapes you. More than you realise.

For a long time, I thought my struggle was about habits… or personality…or “just the way I am.” But I see it differently now. The problem was never that I depended - it was what and how I depended on.

That changes everything. Because now it’s not about becoming independent. It’s about becoming rightly dependent.

Born Into Dependence, Again.

I looked at 10 years of data; it’s "The Ten-Year Heist" - a series of interruptions designed to hijack our Q1 progress right at the finish line.

We tell ourselves we’re "flowing," but we might just be distracted from the unseen architecture of our lives.

From Jan’s Integrity to Feb’s Love and March’s Conviction, have we actually changed, or are we just drifting? The High Cost of Free Time is paid when we let an event drown out the work.

Let's not let the holiday take control of our momentum. Audit your heart before the "Out of Office" goes on.

The High Cost of Free Time

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1, KJV).

Have you ever looked at one area of your life and quietly decided that nothing more was possible? You look at your finances and think, this is not enough. You look at your body and think, maybe this is as good as it gets. You look at your work, your family, your unanswered prayers, your repeated disappointments, and without saying it out loud, you begin to settle inside.

That is how sight can start ruling a life. Not because what you see is false, but because what you see is incomplete.

A closed door can feel final. A delay can feel like denial. A season of pain can feel like proof that things will never change. Even success can deceive you. Things can look fine on the outside while your soul is dry, tired, and drifting.

We do this in many parts of life. A struggling student starts believing they are not intelligent. A couple in tension starts believing tenderness is gone for good. A person who has failed a few times starts calling themselves a failure. Someone waiting on God starts thinking silence means absence. But what if what you see is only one layer of the story?

Faith is not pretending. Faith is not closing your eyes to reality. Faith is refusing to let the visible have the final word. You may see slowness, while God sees formation. You may see weakness, while God sees the place where strength will be born. You may see loss, while God is still working on redemption. You may see a wilderness, while heaven sees the ground where trust, obedience, and maturity are being formed.

The danger is :-) “When what you see becomes all you see, the unseen feels impossible.” This is why the unseen matters.

Not because it is imaginary, but because it is deeper than appearance. The unseen includes purpose, process, timing, wisdom, formation, and the work of God beneath the surface of things. If you live only by what is obvious, you will misread your life. You will call some things dead that are only dormant. You will call some seasons empty that are actually being prepared. You will call some prayers unanswered when they are still unfolding.

That is why we need more than sight. We need faith. We need reverence. And we need the boldness to trust God beyond what we can currently prove.

As we approach The Bold Reverence at 9PM, this is the invitation: do not let what you see become all you see.

When What You See Becomes All You See

Sometimes people recognise you and still pause - not because you are unfamiliar, but because life has changed you in ways they cannot immediately name. The outside may look familiar. But time, truth, and lived experience can make a different man.

I wrote yet another personal journal entry and reflection on that quiet tension between who people remember and who you are becoming.

Would love for you to read it: https://www.omosa.co.za/same-body-same-face-different-man/

Same body. Same face. Different man.
