Yo 😆
Last week I said today. Today I’m saying tonight. The day is here and at 19:00 CAT, I open our doors to The Foundry .

This is where "iron sharpens iron". But more importantly, it’s where we connect as fellow Stewards who actually enjoy the journey of building together.

Every 2nd Thursday, we take some time for Reflections, Check-ins & Classes.
Tonight we’re taking a book that impacted one of us and passing the practical lessons around the room to fortify each other.

At 7pm I’m sharing my reflections on Kingdom Stewardship by Dr. Tony Evans. Join me in this reflection and let’s have a great conversation along the way.

Pull up a chair and invite others!!!!

The Foundry - “Kingdom Stewardship” book reflection

Before a steward manages anything well, he must first remember that nothing is his.

That is one of the reasons prayer matters so deeply. Prayer reorders us. It reminds us that life is entrusted, not possessed. It returns our thinking, our anxieties, our plans, and our ambitions to God.

Join me at 9PM tonight for 30 minute prayer session.

The Bold Reverence is a space

  • to breathe.
  • to reflect.
  • to pray.
  • to be held in reverence, peace, and quiet strength.
It’s a place to return to peace and remember that we’re not alone.

Hey 👋
Today’s thought is: Humility redeems audacity.

It is possible to be bold without becoming proud. To build, lead, create, and pursue excellence without making yourself the centre of the story.

Humility does not weaken conviction. It purifies it. It teaches us how to carry vision without self-worship, and how to move with strength that still bows.

Today, let your audacity be redeemed by humility.

Week’s schedule

  • Wednesday, 9PM - The Bold Reverence prayer session
  • Thursday, 7PM - The Foundry: we’re reflecting on the book “Kingdom Stewardship” by Dr Tony Evans.

This week’s theme: “When Hope Meets Grace”

As usual, I feel nervous sharing parts of my past, but I am doing it anyway.

I think the nervousness comes from knowing that some of the things I write about were not just “lessons” to me. They were real seasons. Hard ones. Humbling ones. The kind that change how you see yourself, life, and God. So whenever I write from that place, there is always a part of me that feels exposed.

But I also know that grace does not only meet us in private. Sometimes it asks us to tell the truth about what it carried us through.

This week, I wrote a personal reflection in the Omosa Journal titled “When Hope Meets Grace.” There is a bit of wordplay in the title, but it carries something real for me. My name is Tsholofelo "Hope", and this article came from reflecting on what it means to live long enough to see hope meet grace.

It also sets the tone, I believe, we need for the week ahead.

Over the next few days, we will be leaning more deeply into stewardship - whether in prayer, in the marketplace, in sharpening, in fasting, in rest, and in the quiet work of becoming.

And on Thursday, I especially want to invite you to join The Foundry, where I will be reflecting on a book I recently finished: Kingdom Stewardship by Dr Tony Evans.

This week, we move not like owners, but like stewards.

Stewardship is how responsibility behaves when it remembers it must answer to more than itself. You were never meant to answer the call alone, and if you have walked through the valley and are ready to stop managing outcomes, your seat is waiting. I want to connect with you when we light the fire every second Thursday at 19:00 CAT.

Pull through. Pull up a chair. Let's sharpen irons.

Research can punch you in the gut. You find someone who’s already spoken about what you’re building and the mind goes: Am I late? Did I waste my time? To top it off, Scripture tells you: "Nothing is new under the sun." The reality on the matter is that truth overlaps, real needs attract multiple perspectives and similarity doesn’t cancel your assignment - all it does is confirm that you’re touching something real.

So don’t stop. Refine. Differentiate your lens. Deepen your method. Keep moving.

You’re not competing for originality. You’re stewarding an assignment.

"Ain't Nothing New"

Many modern leadership frameworks talk about values, execution, or strategy. I use them too. They are often quick handles: easy to remember, immediately accessible, and effective at capturing people’s attention, especially when compared with heavier psychological, theological, scientific, or philosophical theories and formulas.

In many cases, these frameworks are themselves compressed versions of much deeper bodies of thought and research, distilled to make them more digestible for people like me and many others.

But many of the frameworks I have posted about so far either only imply, or altogether miss, relational order. I am learning that covenant thinking, however, never does.

Covenant thinking understands that power, influence, and responsibility remain healthy only when three forces stay in balance:

  • alignment with Truth
  • stewardship of responsibility
  • honour within relationships

Remove one, and systems collapse.

  • Removing honour leads to rebellion.
  • Removing stewardship leads to laziness.
  • Removing alignment leads to corruption.

Remove all three, and power loses its conscience and disorder becomes culture.

But where all three are faithfully kept, a powerful promise emerges: a life that is stable, productive, and trustworthy with power.

Wishing you a day of light and alignment.

Humility. Stewardship. Grace.

A statement can name someone into strength… or shrink them into silence. Words can turn a home into a refuge or a battlefield. Words can build a culture of courage or of fear. But some of us have a propensity to treat words cheaply because they’re readily available.

For stewards, it’s important to meditate on the idea that we are not called to use words only for the purpose of communicating. Stewardship is about using words to unleash their creative power.

Scripture says it plainly: life and death sit in the tongue. Not metaphorically. Practically.

Food for thought:

People won’t only remember what you said. They’ll remember what your words made them believe about themselves. And that belief can become their world.

Words build Worlds.

Notice how we think we’re being productive when we multitask through conversations. But what people often experience is something else... lack of focus.

Presence (including presence of mind) is one of the clearest signs you’re transitioning from performance-pressure and entering into stewardship. Because performance is always rushing to the next thing. Stewardship knows: people are not interruptions. They’re assignments. “Be quick to listen…” (James 1:19)

Listening is not passive. It’s discipline. It’s strength under control.

A note for a stewardship practice using the audacious humility system:
Humility says: “I don’t need to dominate the moment.”
Audacity says: “I’ll show up fully.”

Question: What steals your presence most - Phone, Thoughts, or Time pressure?

Reply with one word.

Presence is a form of honour.

Most people aren’t failing because they don’t care. They’re failing because they’re living inside a "Performance-pressure + control" operating system

It sounds like:

  • “If I don’t stay on top of everything, it will fall apart.”
  • “My value is my output.”
  • “I can’t rest until it’s done.”
  • “I must manage every outcome.”

That’s not ambition. That’s anxiety wearing ambition’s clothes.

Conviction of stewardship is different. It doesn’t mean “no discipline” or “no standards.” It means your discipline is aligned, and your standards are clean.

It sounds like:

  • “I’m entrusted, not the source.”
  • “I govern what’s mine to govern. And release what’s not.”
  • “I build with excellence without becoming owned by outcomes.”
  • “I can wash the feet of others and still build wealth.”

This is Audacious Humility:

  • Humility submits to Truth (Source, limits, alignment).
  • Audacity executes with courage (craft, systems, legacy).

So here’s the question for today (no homework, just honesty): Which mode have you been in lately or over a long period of time? Is it performance-pressure and control, or stewardship conviction?

Reply with one word: Performance or Stewardship.
