“God was not at the centre”

Most High greetings,

Brethren, we all go through challenges. All of us. Without exception - no matter how “perfect” or trouble-free someone’s life might seem.
But, of course, not all challenges are the same. Some are weightier than others. And in other instances, a challenge that would break one person is a challenge another person deals with daily with ease. And it could also happen that the very challenge the other person faces daily is impossible for them to solve but the easiest thing to solve for another.

There are these words you’ll hear a lot especially when answering the question “what happened?” or when people diagnose their lives, usually in retrospect… they’ll say “God was not at the centre.” Sometimes it’s even a question that you’re asked “Was God the centre?”. Centre of your decisions, life, relationships, business, career, studies, etc.

In this week’s journal I am not writing this because there’s anything wrong with the sentence. I am writing because I have become interested in what happens immediately after the sentence is spoken. That little space. That small window. That almost invisible shift in the room, or in the heart, after someone admits/confesses/declares/states that “God was not at the centre”.

This is Part 1 of a 3-Part series called “Just you and God, without the stories.”

Whatever you do the week, let it be pleasing to God.

One, Perfect Love.

Over and Out.
