Hey everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well and finding spaces to serve and grow wherever you are planted today.
As you know, we’re always looking for new ways to steward what we have. Recently, I’ve been exploring the modern tools and technology we use every day. The project I’ve been working on is a small step in that direction. On May 6th, we’ll release an 8-track album called Pela Hao (In Your Presence) through Omosa Connect.
The idea was simple: take the beautiful, timeless hymns we grew up with, like “Se teng sediba” and “Ke na le Modisa,” and combine them with modern sounds. We mixed traditional South African choral harmonies with cinematic beats and spoken word. It’s not about perfection; it’s just an honest effort to use today’s digital tools to share a message of faith, healing, and gratitude.
I want to make it clear that this isn’t about starting a music career. For us at Omosa, it’s a practical exercise. It shows how we can take whatever we have, even technology or software, and dedicate it to the Kingdom. Soon, we’ll include the album’s creation process in the Omosa session builder as a case study on using our skills for a higher purpose.
I’m sharing this today to encourage you. Whatever field you work in and whatever tools you use, how can you dedicate them? We all have ways to serve God and each other with what we’ve been given.
I hope that when Pela Hao is released on May 6th, it brings peace to your day, reminds you of the Shepherd who guides us, and maybe inspires you to see your own tools in a new way.
Let’s keep building and serving.
Grace and peace,
Tsholo L. Sehume
